Together with PE1L and PA3CEE,  Ronald Pa3EWP was in Kenia for a small dxpedition.  While the other 2 were focussing on 2M EME as 5Z4EME, Ronald did HF, 40m- 10m with vertical antenna's and dipoles.

Kenia, on the east coast of Afrika with over 500.000 square km of land and well knows for it's nature and wildlife.

The team did built up their camp some 200 km northwest of the main city Nairobi.

 

 

 

 

Ronald operated ,using this equipment.

  • 1 Elecraft K2/100 with DSP and automatic tuner;
  • 1 HF amplifier   ( 600W )

 

Antennas:
  • 30/40 monoband verticals
  • 20m-10m multiband vertical
  • K9AY receiving loop
  • some other dipoles/verticals

All equipment and antenna's have been packed up and they are ready to leave the country, heading back home. 5Z4/PA3EWP is now QRT
